Elefair's Easter Preperations!

30th March 2015

With Easter fast approaching, we have been busy getting stuck into our preparations to get the shop and the shop window display ready to fit an Easter theme.

This has included lots of concept generation and planning, along with some more hands on tasks, such as painting and decorating blown eggs and making giant Easter eggs, made from yarn!

The painted blown eggs that now feature in our display alongside our egg cosies!
Giant yarn Easter eggs! These were made using balloons, yarn and lots of glue
Once we had a clear plan of what we wanted to do with the display and how we were going to do it we began to bring the our to life and we saw our Easter themed window display come together.

Our Easter themed window display complete!

Global Week at NTU

30th March 2015

We had a lovely time at global week at Nottingham Trent University. Throughout the week we conducted different global themed arts and crafts with students. We started on Monday at Brackenhurt Campus, where we were decoupaging mini notebooks and making Nepalese Tihar lights.

Our stall set up for our first day at Brackenhurt campus!

The next day we were located at NTU's City Campus, which was really fun and busy! Here are some photos from the day...

On Wednesday we ventured to Clifton Campus where we got the chance to get more students involved in the multicultural arts and crafts we were conducting! After this, the rest of our week was at the main City campus of NTU, where we started to focus on different craft ideas such as making South American rain sticks and Japanese origami lotus flowers with our beautiful handmade lokta paper! Here are some photos from the rest of the week...

We had a lovely week at Nottingham Trent University's Global Week! We had the chance to meet some lovely people whilst learning about different cultures and countries in the mean time! It also gave us a nice opportunity to conduct our own arts and crafts which we enjoyed very much, so overall we had a very successful week!
